Alfred Strand |Development Engineer
Alfred works with development of hardware. Specifically, with inventing, optimizing and testing optical configurations used for monitoring insects. He also has a lot of experience with experimental design of fieldwork trials used for assessment of sensors developed by FaunaPhotonics. He has been part of most field campaigns working on site to setup and maintain all measurements.
He holds a M.Sc degree in Engineering physics with specialization in photonics from Lund University. He did his master’s thesis on the topic of developing a hyperspectral LIDAR for monitoring aquatic fauna, led by supervisor Mikkel Brydegaard, one of the founders of FaunaPhotonics.
When Alfred is not working, he takes every chance he can to be outdoors; climbing, hiking, cycling and surfing. He is also very passionate about music and plays both piano and double bass.
